At D&D Classic Cars, we typically pride ourselves in offering showroom or near showroom quality cars. We habitually hold ourselves to a very high standards in the cars that cross our showroom floor. Whether we perform comprehensive restorations or massage fine details, our prevailing concept is to sell only the finest of classic cars. With that said, this is 2020 as the trending saying goes, and because of that, we have unselfishly stepped aside from that showroom quality standard for the first time on this offering. With car shows nearly nonexistent, entertainment venues shuttered, and restaurants, “a enter at your own risk” query, we have been fielding multiple calls every week from people looking for project cars. So, in understanding that people want endeavors to fill the voids of 2020, we halted our restoration of this historic 1965 Plymouth Fury III, and have decided to offer it as an impeccably priced project car for those yearning to accomplish something meaningful during the Covid-19 Era. This car marked a bit of new age in Plymouth design. The 1965 Fury was still very straight lined as was its precursors, but with several up-to-the-minute alterations. It commenced the 4th generation of Plymouth design in the eyes of many car collectors. A larger car to compete with its GM and Ford competitors, the Fury was much more laid back in appearance and remained steadfast in the conservative and straight-lined look. It featured a redesigned stacked headlight, a fine mesh grille, and segmented taillights to heighten the overall façade of the car. These features became revered by Mopar fans over the years, and stand to differentiate this generation car from all others at car shows still today. This vehicle is in need of some drudgery to return it to its exaltation of yesteryear. The car is currently a handsome blue accented with a black hood and harmonizing black stripes horizontally down the side. It proposes a stable body, aside of necessitating a new trunk floor and fresh paint, making it virtually a blank canvas though. The interior has already been loved on, by way of lavish new Deep Blue and White vinyl seat coverings and door pads. Additionally, the interior boasts in dash A/C, but needs a new compressor. This Fury is powered by a 383 Big Block showing 92,563 actual miles and an automatic transmission that will require some attention to be returned to working order. Overall, this is a solid car, and a first-class example of a project car. We have priced it to allow the new owner room to make all the compulsory reparations that are needed, and still have financial room to add their own preferential flare to it. It is our hope that by venturing outside of our normal praxes of expectation, that someone will find some self-found happiness and a sense of accomplishment through restoring this vehicle in these uncertain times.
