With the far more stylish and sleek offerings of Henry Ford’s formidable competition, he went to work designing a new car in the mid 1920’s. His Model T had once set the world ablaze in way of its popularity, but had since fallen behind the times in the appearance category. 1928 was the year that Ford would birth his newest bundle of joy and introduce the world to the Model A. The new visionary automobile, much like its predecessor, sent Americans flocking to the showroom floor of Ford Dealerships all over the country. Ford would sell over 400,000 units in a matter of days. The up-to-the-minute car proved rapidly to be a complete success. Americans were pleased with the new streamlined body, user friendly driver controls, and the magnitude of tangible options the car offered. The car would remain popular even through the outset of the Great Depression before again being replaced in 1932 due to innovative pressures from Ford’s advisories. While the Model A was short lived by way of years on the market, it undoubtedly left an imprint in American History. Marking the car of choice for those Americans that were auspicious enough to navigate the depression years without anguish, the Model A embodied class, and a sense of hope to struggling Americans that were looking for employment. While many of these abiding automobiles have vanished over their 90-year lifespan, they continue to live on and exhibit excellence through newly built versions of their ancestors. This very car replicates that exuberance and antiquity while enfolded in a modern shell. This 1930 Model A Roadster was superbly hand crafted in Washington state 10 years ago. Displaying a Wescott Body fitted with a steel hood; this beauty sits profoundly on an original boxed frame. Fitted with a disconcerting 3,412-mile 350 engine and 350 automatic turbo transmission, this vehicle is ready to perform. This classic will undeniably produce envy of the onlookers peering into its glassy dark blue paint and accompanying saddle colored top. Enhanced brilliance is added to the car with striking chrome American Racing wheels, proudly clasping Grand Am Radial GT Tires. Inside envy will continue to ensue by way of the matching saddle interior, lustrous chrome accented gauges, a Clarion AM/FM/CD radio, tilt steering column, and tasteful, raised door panels. While this may not be an original 1930 Model A, it certainly exudes the same class, style, and history. So, if your yearning is an early model Ford, without the apprehension of 90 years of aging on its parts, look no further. This Model A is sure to encase all the grandeur that Ford created so many years ago, while undeniably providing its new owner decades of enjoyment still to come.
