As the 1970’s rolled on, the craze of the 60’s muscle car became a distant memory. Power began to be forfeited for practicability, and the cars began to lose the style that drivers had lusted over in the previous decade. This 1970 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport was the last of its bread. A final curtain call for a big block engine strapped to a Chevy X-body if you will. Bred from its Chevy II predecessor the Nova had all the might of its Chevelle cousin but was sleekly a full foot shorter in overall length. This 2-door represents everything that that made the muscle car obsession of the 60’s so captivating, all wrapped up in a complementary and honorary 1970’s bowtie. Dressed in intense red with inflections of sky blue that adorn the sides and fiberglass cowl induction hood, this car is sure to snap necks everywhere it goes. Further accentuating the brawn of this car are chrome Crager Wheels and a new throaty dual exhaust system. Linked to the end of the aforementioned exhaust is a built 396 snuggled up to a Turbo Hydra-Matic Transmission and a newly installed aluminum radiator. Inside the masculinity is further felt through a spanking new and lustrous black vinyl interior. Added inside attributes include aftermarket gauges, new rear window regulators and a new dash pad. The odometer is showing 74,195 non actual miles and this last of a generation titan runs and drives with superior vitality. From chrome to chrome this car is an exceptional example of what the muscle car era was all about. Besides, in a time when it feels like this world is constantly trying to beat us down, it seems that flexing some extra muscle might make you feel like you are back in charge.
